Our Mediterranean Fan Palms are produced in heavy clay-like soils and are slow-grown from seed harvested from palms that were born & bred in similar soils. Mediterranean Fan Palms are excellent performers but they are ideally bred for use in heavy clay-like soil conditions.
Mediterranean Fan Palms are seed produced palms so there is a lot of variety aesthetics wise.
The seed we used was selected from Zone 8, fully mature palms that had been exposed to decades of harsh winters throughout their life spans. The crop we produced from that seed has endured many mid-teen’s freezes in our fields so extreme cold hardiness is not just a trait, it is bred into these particular cultivars.

Med Palms are ideal for use where a degree of tropical diversity is sought in Zone 8 environments.
Single trunk or Multi stemmed specimens. Smaller Med's are terrific for use as an accent on site and mature specimens are individually unique masterpieces that will anchor the landscape while instilling a "one of a kind" perspective on site.
