Increases absorption and transfer of water and mineral nutrients from the soil to the plant
Helps plants mitigate adverse environmental conditions, such as drought, soil salinity and extremes of soil pH
Application Rates are as follows:
NEW PLANTINGS: Mix Palm Saver in the backfill around the root ball in the top 4 inches of soil. For each 1 foot diameter of planting hole, use 12oz. of Palm Saver.
VERTIMULCHING EXISTING PALMS: Apply by standard vertical mulching technique: For an average sized palm, drill 4 holes evenly spaces around the trunk about half way between trunk and dripline. Remove mulch. Use a 2 to 3 inch wide auger to drill holes to a depth of 8 to 10 inches. Fill holes with soil evenly mixed with Palm Saver at a rate of 6oz. per hole, and pack lightly. If using premixed soil as fill, mix 10 lbs. of Palm Saver per cubic foot of fill. Replace mulch, apply water to saturation. Reapply annually as needed.
