Explore our 40-year storyGroundworks · Pronalys
A changing crown, an unfamiliar symptom, or a palm that is failing to establish deserves a closer look. Groundworks brings field history, photographs, site conditions, and available technical evidence into the same conversation.
Begin a diagnostic inquiry
Start with the evidence
A palm’s present condition can reflect installation history, irrigation, surrounding construction, maintenance, environmental exposure, or several factors together. Pronalys, Groundworks’ professional analysis service, considers that history before recommending a response.
Describe the first signs, when they appeared, and whether one palm or a group is affected.
Include the location, installation date if known, recent site work, irrigation changes, and prior treatments.
Existing laboratory results, contractor notes, and dated photographs can help make the timeline clearer.
Photographs that help
Groundworks’ Pronalys page asks for four clear photographs: two of the canopy and two of the trunk base and surrounding three to four feet. Include a wider view of the property when access or nearby work may be relevant. Stand with your back to the sun when practical so the details are visible.
Professional review
The next step may be a request for more information, a field consultation, laboratory work, or a discussion of establishment and continuing care. Groundworks will explain the proposed scope before an engagement proceeds. A photograph alone cannot establish every cause or guarantee a recovery.
