Pronalys
Groundworks Pronalys (Pronalys is an acronym for “Professional Analysis”) performs a range of consulting services. These include providing palm disease diagnostics and remedial recommendations that are overseen or are personally developed by our lead Palm Detective, Mr. George Nottingham.
Yes, Palm Detective; the simple fact of the matter is that the issues arising with mature palms out in the public’s domain typically develop over long periods of time. In these scenarios, one event or circumstance compounds upon the next with all acting upon and impacting each other to yield the condition where we find a palm at a given moment. In addition, more often than not, actions (or a lack thereof) by human beings have a significant impact on the total circumstance. Interviewing people that have interacted with the palm, the site and the circumstances is a vital step in determining how the palm arrived at its present state. Understanding that path is vital to understanding how to mitigate the current issue and most essentially, how to rectify it in such a manner as to ensure that it does not immediately reoccur.
Because of the typically long time frames, memories can become blurred and/or key elements in the exposure timeline might be forgotten or are purposely deleted from the story, for one reason or another, by the individuals telling it. This leaves the party seeking to develop diagnostics (me) trying to figure out what happened without having simple access to all of the facts and forcing me, to one degree or another, to be a Palm Detective. With my Palm Detective hat on, I am interviewing all of the players, reviewing all of the lab work, investigating the sites’ cultural and environmental histories and blending thirty years of observations (People, Places and Palms) into all of it then correlating this to that and that to this to piece together an accurate events & interactions timeline from the fragments I am given access to. I am indeed a Palm Detective whose primary goal is to determine a path back to good health, reliable functionality and consistently strong aesthetics. I love the work and am confident in my findings.
You see your palms every day; if you notice something weird going on with one or more of them, do not wait until the palm is dead or nearly dead to get in touch. Figuring out why the palm died won’t bring it back. If you get in touch the moment you realize that the palm is looking “off”, if it can be saved and brought back to good health, getting the Palm Detective engaged as early as possible will yeild the best possible chance that it has. Remedial actions implemented early are typically less costly than trying to save a nearly expired patient. Don’t wait, get in touch!
To get in touch with the Palm Detective, call us at (800) 753 5127 or, much better yet, send us an email to palmdetective@pronalys.com. Please include two pictures of the top/leaves of the palm and two of the bottom where the trunk joins the ground allowing us to see the 3-4 feet around the base of the trunk. Please don’t forget to put your back to the sun when shooting pictures. Tell us that you need the Palm Detective to look at your pictures and share any other information that you think might be relevant. We will look everything over at no cost or obligation to you and if we believe we can help you, we will tell you that. If we believe that it’s too late, we will tell you that as well. Pronalys and the Palm Detective will not seek to encourage you to spend money on a lost cause. Remember, engaging the Palm Detective EARLY in the events timeline is essential to the chances of recovery.
We are here if you need us but can only be effective if made aware of a developing problem before the palm has reached a point of no return.
